House Of Blues Chicago

Play Crowded House Music
Lovely Lighting by Dave

The crowd in Chicago made it was a very fitting end to the tour for Lawrence Arabia as they sadly won't be playing at the last 2 shows in Milwaukee and Denver but what a lovely ride it has been over the last 2 months. The crowd were loud, even when they got to meet Neil's dad on Skype as you can see in these photos from the show.

Now there's a show in Milwaukee, a big drive to Denver for the last show then everyone goes home for a wee while.

Well we are in the heart of

Well we are in the heart of the U.K tour now and it's been invigorating to be amongst you once more with musical highlights aplenty and enough surprising twists and turns to keep even the Intriguer confused hollister online. Through a quirk of timing our album is arriving in stores after many of you have already heard the songs live. Thank you for your very positive feedback towards the new music. and I hope you like the album with its lovely artwork , Nicks furtive imaginings in classic form.

simply amazing..

Folks, having simply adored this band and these gentlemen for 25 years or so and having seem them approx 12 times I have to say the sunday gig at chicago was the BEST CH performance I personally have witnessed .. simply phenomenal.. now the sound system was amazing which helps, of course, but I felt the boys just bounced off the amazing audience reaction and general buzz in the brilliant HoB theatre.. the place was cooking.. also don't know if it was planned or a reaction to the buzz but it seemed to be a rockier show than usual.. Hole in the River was amazing as wa sLocked Out and In My command.. the hardest thing to explain to casual acquaintances of CH is that they are a REAL band.. anyway saw them twice in NY area in July and we just decided to go to chicago for a weekend centred around the gig and wow we are so happy we did... so I am English and became a fan back in the day.. and indeed worked for EMI records in the UK.. I ran the IT dept and it just so happened that back in Manchester Square (Neil might remember) my little dept were at the end of the classical marketing dept on the 3rd floor.. on the Woodface tour Neil & Tim were in the building.. perhaps for a Parlophone Meeting with Tony Wadsworth and or Mark Collen.. and they were looking for a piano.. well the only piano in Man Sq was in my dept!! and so the bros popped down and both played and sang together in the IT dept! that was probably 1991 or 92... oh happy days... thank god they are back and playing so amazingly well.. fantastic! looking fw to the next tour gentlemen! safe travels... Paul

With Gratitude

Having had the great privilege of attending five shows with the newest incarnation of the band, I must say that there continues to be nothing to match the EXPERIENCE of joining with like-minded fans to witness a live show (USB of Montclair show, Puh-lease!!!). The warmth and wit you bring to an already awe-inspiring catalog of music is something to behold. What a joy, as well, to see the Finn family join the ensemble. Lovely! As a practicing Buddhist, and one of those "your music has been the soundtrack of my life" folks, Mr. Finn's ability to lyrically embrace life in all its joy and suffering, commitment and impermanence, and envelope it all in the most gorgeous of melodies continues to stir the soul. Your ability to capture the universal with such poignant turns of phrase places you among the artists of the ages. In a just universe your music would get the exposure it deserves and the world would be a more peaceful place for it. And what is it about your part of the world that produces such achingly beautiful harmonies? Had a chance to speak with Mr. Milne after the Atlantic City show, and what a talented, unassuming master of harmony himself. Of touring he reflected, "you can resent something you love." Deep gratitude to you all for enduring life on the road to share your gift with us. Hope you had as much fun as the audience did along the way! Thanks also, Mr. Finn, for blowing the lyrics occasionally to help remind us all of your humanity. Looking forward to new releases from the band takes a little sting out of being middle-aged: gentlemen, I'll enjoy growing old with you!
