That'd be "La Monde" as in Le Monde then? http://www.lemonde.fr/

The damned Frenchies are pleased to tell you that this title is perfectly right, the content of the song not more pretentious than "Imagine" and that we are totally proud that our language has been chosen in a CH song (and, as for me, totally proud of the reason why it has been chosen).
Bonne soirée... Wink

Well I speak a little French, enough to order a coffee and ask for my room key when in Paris, and my understanding is that "Pour le Monde" is correct and translates to "For the world". I don't think there would be many that would consider Neil Finn's lyrics as pretentious. He is a brilliant lyricist, he is a poet and he perfectly captures life's moments.

I don't know you but if Neil Finn is pretentious there is no comparison possible to you, judging by this.
Honestly, please check your facts before you post such stupidity.
Other than that Joie and virginie said it all. Nuff said.
